Time: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm each day.

*We ask that you please place them in the containers and do not throw them.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Walton Town Board will hold a public hearing on the Preliminary 2022 Budget at the Town Hall at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th day of November, 2021 and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled for or against any item or items therein contained.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the town officers are hereby specified as follows:
Supervisor $12,397.00
Councilperson 4 each at $2,689.00
HWY Superintendent $58,000.00
Town Clerk $47,087.00
Justice $ 12,000.00

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Re:     Public Service Announcement

Please announce the following bridge closures beginning Monday, July 5 and continuing through the day Monday, August 30, 2021:

The Delaware County Department of Public Works will be closing Lower Third Brook in the Town of Walton to through traffic beginning at 7:00 am on Monday July 12, 2020 for a bridge replacement project. The structure is located approximately 1300 feet west of the intersection with Seely Wood Rd.  The traveling public should seek alternate routes.  It is expected the road will be reopened by the end of August.

Notice is hereby given that as of May 1, 2021, the Assessor of the Town of Walton, County of Delaware, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy has been left at the Town Clerk’s Office at 129 North Street where it may be seen and examined by any interested person.  The roll is also online at the Delaware County website- http://www.co.delaware.ny.us/departments/tax/rolls.htm per requirement of RPTL section 1590.

The assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll by phone 607-865-5281  on:

Saturday, May 8                      2 pm – 6 pm

Friday, May 14                       9 am – 1 pm

Wednesday, May 19              9 am – 1 pm

Friday, May 21                       4 pm – 8 pm

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Wednesday May 26, 2021 at 4 pm – 8 pm at the Town of Walton Town Hall, 129 North Street in said Town, to hear and examine by appointment all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing themselves to be aggrieved. (Application for filing a complaint and instructional booklets are available from the Assessor and at https://www.tax.ny.gov/forms/orpts/assessment_grievance.htm)
