The Town of Walton has hired KLW Municipal Inc. to conduct a town wide property revaluation.

On Monday, June 17, 2024, appraisers will start their process of gathering pictures and information of all properties. You will see vehicles, clearly marked, driving along our roads and streets.  They will not be entering homes!

To help in this process and to be sure we obtain the most accurate information, you will soon receive a data mailer in the mail. Please complete and send back as soon as possible.

A revaluation is done primarily to make sure that the assessed values reflect the changes that have occurred in the market and to equalize the values of all properties within a municipality so you are only paying your fair share.

At the conclusion of the revaluation process, each property owner will receive an assessment disclosure letter in March of 2025.  At this time, the property owners will have ample opportunity to talk with KLW to discuss their letter and assessment.
